We are delighted that the Irish Embassy in Amman today officially signed an agreement granting US$11,300 to the DSPR Jordan for a unique programme in the Palestinian refugee camp of Jerash (Gaza) north of Jordan.

The concept of the project is based on the provision of a particular unit called "Production Kitchen", which will be equipped with the necessary tools, equipment and materials for food production according to the needs of the local market.

The project also includes training components for 400 women on topics such as food production, hygiene conditions, safety, packaging and marketing. There will be networking with specialised sectors such as universities and the vocational training institute to provide DSPR with dedicated trainers.
